Milestone Institute

János Hódsági is the Chief Product Officer of Milestone Institute, overseeing the development of international products, educational consultancy services and edtech solutions. Educated as a computational biologist in Budapest and London, he moved into education six years ago after spending some time in biomedical research and industry. At Milestone, he started out with teaching and curriculum development in the natural sciences division, gradually rising to leadership roles in programme management. He subsequently led the Teaching and Learning Department for four years, being responsible for the running and development of Milestone’s interdisciplinary module system composed of 100+ courses delivered for high school students by academics and industry experts. The module system’s innovativeness has been recently recognised by being shortlisted for the QS Wharton Reimagine Education prize, making it to the top 200 out of 1100 applicants worldwide. In his role at Teaching and Learning, he pioneered Milestone’s Access Programme, a year-long academic accelerator programme for diverse students with Milestone potential. His interests in education are centred around inquiry-based learning in the natural sciences, the notions of scaffolding, curation and challenge in curriculum design, and the application of outcome-validated strategic alignment in educational development.
