Rosalia Alemão
Ms. Rosalia Alemão was born in São Miguel, Azores, and obtained her undergraduate degree in Classic Literatures (Latin, Greek and Portuguese Teaching) at the University of Lisbon in 2004. Right after graduation, she started working as a high-school teacher at Anselmo de Andrade High School in Almada.
Around 2009, back home in the Azores, she embraced other professional challenges. Ms. Alemao was the Principal of INETESE-Açores, a vocational and training school in Ponta Delgada e Angra do Heroísmo, conferring professional degrees with IV and V qualifications. Within the duties of this position, she was invited by the Azorean Regional Government to enroll in a Postgraduate Degree in Vocational Education Management at the University of the Azores, which she completed in 2010.
In 2016, Ms. Alemao went back to high school teaching. For the last six years, she has taught Portuguese Literature and Portuguese from 10th to 12th grade, in Ribeira Grande High School. Ms. Alemao is preparing her Master’s Degree Dissertation on “Change” and its impact on high school teachers’ work-life balance.
